The Friendship that Begins with Me
This is a 12- week course, (Sept 4th- Nov. 20th)
This course is a transformative 12-week journey designed specifically for preteens and young teens to build self-compassion, boost confidence, and nurture a positive, God- centered inner dialogue. Through engaging discussions, creative activities, scriptural reflections, and practical exercises, this course empowers young people to understand their unique strengths, set healthy boundaries, and develop the skills to navigate life's challenges with resilience. Participants will explore topics such as rewriting negative
self-talk, embracing their individuality, and creating a personal growth plan. We partner with students within a supportive, safe, Spirit-led environment where every student can learn to celebrate themselves and become their own best friends while having fun and supporting their peers.

Primary Math (grades kindergarten and 1 st )

Mighty Readers Club (K-4 th )
We want to encourage a love for books and reading. We read short stories and poetry, followed by reading comprehension exercises. Students are encouraged to be creative and use their imaginations. Each month, the class creates their own short story; building
upon it every week. At the end of the year, they will take home a compilation of their creations.
Lego STEM Class (Elementary)
This class uses LEGO bricks to teach science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills through engaging hands-on builds. Students develop creativity, communication, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Each week will offer different themes such as vehicles, building cities, and mini robots.

- Subjects covered include addition, subtraction, graphing, and measurement.
- Learning is interactive and project-based- incorporating out-of-classroom experiences.
- Focused on competency, this course prepares students for continued education and strengthens their desire for learning.

This course’s curriculum aligns with the South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards.
- Subjects covered include earth, life, and physical science, and the scientific method.
- Learning incorporates interactive experiments and real-life observations outside the classroom.
- This course teaches students to identify and use science in everyday life and strengthens their desire for learning.

The Christian Village Academy(TCVA) is pleased to offer mid-semester classes for students, Kindergarten- 8th grades. Intro to Tap Dance, with Ms. Niya Kight is a five-week course. TCVA is offering two classes:
-Tuesdays @2pm- Grades 5th-8th -Wednesdays @ 2pm - Grades K-4th |
Meet the Instructor

Niya Kight has been dancing since the age of 4. Specializing in tap, she is also formally trained in ballet, pointe, hip-hop, modern, and jazz. For a majority of her dance studies, Niya was taught by instructors at Dancemakers, Incorporated in Maryland. Wanting to pursue a tap dance focus, Niya studied at Knock on Wood Dance Studio to concentrate on her love for producing rhythms with her feet. Niya has had the opportunity to compete in both national and local competitions including Showtime at the Apollo and BET’s Blaze the Stage and 106 & Park.
