Meet the Instructor

Lillie A. Middleton is a retired educator with more than 30 years of experience teaching and mentoring students at the middle and high school levels. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Claflin University in 1974 and later completed a Master of Education in Counselor Education from South Carolina State College (now South Carolina State University) in 1987. She has also pursued additional studies in English and Special Education to enhance her expertise in the classroom.

Beyond education, Lillie built a career in real estate, where she worked for 10
years, further developing her skills in business, customer service, and community engagement. She is also a passionate traveler who has explored more than 20 countries across four continents, experiences that have broadened her worldview and enriched both her personal and professional journey.

Currently, Lillie manages Balloon Infusion 2, LLC, her daughter’s balloon
business in Orangeburg, South Carolina. In this role, she enjoys designing creative displays and engaging with customers and clients, continuing her lifelong commitment to service, creativity, and community connection.
